3 fresh ways to use CBD oil

Like us, you probably learned about CBD first in oil form (AKA in a tincture). We loved it so much that we launched beam in 2018 with our very first oil, the one. Since then, we’ve introduced a diverse lineup of products but our original oil will always hold a special place in our hearts. So in honor of The One, we put together three of our favorite ways to use it: 

The OG: Under the tongue

This is the most common and effective way to take CBD oil. On the underside of our tongue are receptors for faster absorption of anything, including CBD. We suggest taking a dropper full of The One, place it under your tongue, let it rest for 30 seconds and then swallow.

Coffee or tea, anyone?

If letting oil just hang out in your mouth isn’t your thing (we get it), try adding it to your favorite beverage in the morning or to wind down in the evening. It’s a subtle, seamless addition to any AM or PM routine. 

Recovery shake 

One of our favorite smoothies is a chocolate mint recovery shake made with—you guessed it—our fresh mint flavored oil. CBD can help to boost athletic recovery after a workout which is why it’s the perfect counterpart to any protein shake. Here’s one of our favorite recipes:

1 scoop Ascent chocolate protein powder
1 dropper full the one (mint) 
½ frozen banana
1 tbsp cocoa powder
1 tbsp coconut oil
1 cup almond milk
